Augustin Louis Cauchy

Augustin Louis Cauchy (1789-1857) was a French mathematician and physicist. One of his major contributions to mathematics was the Cauchy-Schwarz Inequality. The Cauchy-Schwarz Inequality was developed by Cauchy, then finalized by Herman Schwarz (1843–1921).
