SCHOOL UPDATE! EVERYONE’S FAVORITE YAYYY!

So, as you guys see in the title, we had Fire Drills and a School Shooting Threat. I’ll start with the cooler one, the Fire Drills(School Shooting Threat booo).

Fire Drills
Before coming to Enloe, I had heard of the infamous Enloe fire drills and the various jokes that came with them. For example, students were talking to each other and teachers about changing the school colors(green and gold) to Red and White because that’s all we saw(think about it. You’ll understand.) It was September 22nd, a Thursday. It was a pretty humid and hot day, the only one we’ve seen in the past 3 days because fall happened woohoo! All of the classes went pretty well. Band was hard and the band teacher decided to kill our tongues with a Sonata that has all double tonguing and death in it yayy! I also found out during band that there was a school shooting threat(school shooting threat booo) from serenaz26. That made me scared(just kidding!). To be fair though, it seemed like a good excuse to skip a day of school, so I tried to convince my parents(it didn’t get work, and you won’t believe what happened later). Anyhow, during our last period, I had Calculus(which is getting kind of hard now, to be honest). We were learning about the product rule for derivatives and whatever and then you hear the fire alarm going off! It was near the end of the month so I just assumed that it was an administrator-issued fire drill, as we’re supposed to have one near the end of each month. So we all huddled outside and I was talking to Brandon Y. (make sure to sub to his Youtube Channel! he has a viral video which I’m sure you guys have seen before) about the fire drill gimmicks and he told me to clap when the fire truck came, as this was an Enloe tradition. So of course, I clapped and cheered for the fire truck as it wailed into Enloe. I was laughing with Kevin H. the entire time because we thought that every part of this was hilarious. Brandon Y. was recording everything for a video(which is here. After the experience, we all went back inside. Everything was great and we learned absolutely nothing because guess what happened 5 minutes later? ANOTHER FIRE DRILL YAYYY!!! So the same exact fire truck came right back to Enloe and everyone started clapping and cheering because we love that fire truck! Brandon continued recording and commenting as any natural YouTuber would and it was super fun. We went back inside and everything calmed down until around 2:05 when guess what? ANOTHER FRESH AIR BREAK FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME WHILE WE WAIT FOR A FIRE TRUCK TO COME TO RESCUE OUR POOR SOULS! When the fire truck got there, parents were already waiting in the carpool line so it was really funny how the parents just saw us all walk out in front of them and stand there LOL. The fire truck ended up squeezing past the cars, as you can see in Brandon’s youtube video. Right before we went inside, someone PULLED THE FIRE ALARM AGAIN, making the total 4 fire alarms in 87 minutes. It was super fun to get so much fresh air and I actually passed my daily average number of steps with all the walking inside and outside the building.

School Shooting Threat
So on September 21st, some girl wrote in a school bathroom: “Shooting up the school on 9-23-2022," with a heart drawn underneath the message. If you don’t believe me, just look at this news article. I tried convincing my parents to let me stay at home, but they said that according to the principal, “The threat was illegitimate.” So I went to school and you know what happened? The answer is ... So that was so fun…

Science Bowl Tryouts Round 1
So I’m a math main(if you can’t tell). I came into tryouts feeling pretty confident as the board seemed impressed and I thought I was really good at speed math(ftw grind go brr). I took all five subjects and was braindead by the time the math test came out. I couldn’t think straight and ended up getting a 9. I ended up mocking the test again and got a 16. I still made round 2 but I felt super disappointed and sad because, at this rate, I’m not going to make the team. This year, it’s Science Bowl or bust for me, so if I don’t make it in, my parents are going to make me transfer to Green Level and I’ll have to make an entirely new set of friends. I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do if I have to transfer. If I have to transfer, my entire future is dead and I’m pretty much useless and I’m going to feel useless. God help me I swear.

School Homework
School homework is seriously starting to pile up. I’m sleeping at 11:30 every night, which is still early according to Enloe's standards. I think it’s mainly because I can finally start on homework at like 10:00 PM because of swimming so that’s an issue. But other than sleep deprivation, I’m doing really well.

Also, I apologize if half of this doesn’t make sense. I’m really sleep-deprived and I really need sleep right now so if I find anything where I sound high, I’ll edit it tomorrow.
