Excuse my braindead writing because most of this was written on 4 hours of sleep.


So basically, FBLA is Future Business Leaders of America, and it’s pretty much a competition to train you for the business world. If you want more info, here’s their website.

Day 1:

After 1.5 hours of geometry dash and being extremely hungry, we arrived at Koury Convention Center. I’d already taken my test, so I was pretty much here to troll around and attend workshops(both of which I did).

My roommates were AY, EJ, and KH. EJ wouldn’t be with us the second night, leaving the three of us to share the Sheraton Four Seasons hotel room. I had a cup of Starbucks and a bag of Cheetos for lunch, and that miraculously filled me until dinner.

KH, a couple of friends, and I started walking around and exploring. We didn’t find a whole bunch, and most of my time was spent in my room playing Geometry Dash. When we tried to go back to our room once, EJ came out and said that he was “busy doing something.” There was also a girl in the room, who I think was his ex’s roommate? So KH and I thought that he was up to some questionable activity, and KH panicked and stuff. I could’ve cared less, and I didn’t mind at all.

As I entered the mall where the food court for dinner was, I was shocked by how large it was. Due to my allergies, the only thing that I had found that I wasn’t allergic to was Subway. But guess what closed the second I got there? Yeah, so I ended up having nachos for dinner, which was pretty bad. I called my parents, and they said that they’d make the 1.5-hour drive to give me dinner on Day 2.

At last, it was opening ceremony time. All of the State Officers, including CabbageCat, waved and it was kinda boring imo. Some drill sergeant gave a talk about her journey and stuff, and she was pretty funny, so nice. The Regional VP candidates also walked on the stage to wave, and the State President candidates answered a fishbowl question(questions put into a fishbowl, questions randomly drawn and asked).

I felt hella energized after opening(probably from some sugar intake *cough* rice krispies *cough*), so I helped out CabbageCat with her State President campaign(read: I trolled around with her Campaign Managers while KH looked at me in disapproval). I handed out some business card thingies and whatnot. Being a State Officer, CabbageCat had connections, and she got a good luck from the National Treasurer iirc, and he asked her to go to the Collegiate FBLA States Conference(i didn’t even know Collegiate FBLA existed :joy: ). I blew up a balloon that was in a random bag while “helping out,” and that was about it.

That night was absolutely horrible, though. AY’s legs are crazy long, so he kinda pushed me to where I had to sleep on my side with half my body hanging off the bed. TL;DR, I got no sleep lol.



Day 2:

So somehow, I felt energized? I got a cup of coffee, which is probably why. I had some grits and sausage(jk i gave the grits to a friend). I took the Computer Science Recognition test, and I flopped and guessed all the questions yayyy

I went to the Middle Level(for middle schoolers) workshop(yes I know I’m a high schooler :joy:). CabbageCat was there to teach the workshop and she saw me(we kinda chuckled when we saw each other)… I didn’t learn a huge amount but it was pretty funny because everyone believed that I was an 8th grader at Community House Middle School. Our argument was that a hot dog was a sandwich… Yeah dumb topic whatever end of story we didn’t win. I literally came for the prizes, and to troll around with middle schoolers(and pray that they didn’t see that I was a high schooler). Guess what? Someone forgot the prizes or something so I left empty-handed -_-

I ate my lunch, and also my dress shoes broke, so like I was actually screwed. Without functioning dress shoes, I was literally unable to go anywhere.

There was some Regional Rally thing, which was a little long. AY made me hold his poster outside the door, which gave me the worst social anxiety ever because I was literally wearing crocs while also wearing crazy formal attire. CabbageCat and her friend took a photo iirc, and I lowkey wanna see how dumb I looked in that photo. CabbageCat came in midway through the Rally to talk about her being the best candidate for State President, and all of the people who were running for our Region’s Vice President gave some speeches and gave ppl a lot of candy.

At night, we went bowling and there was a dance that I didn’t go to. I’m apparently a “natural” at bowling and won all 3 games that we played, and we got to play in the arcade afterwards. I played some Japanese rhythm game, and some driving games, because those were literally the only couple games that my arcade card could take(the ones where you could actually win prizes were prohibited).


Day 3:
Got a cup of coffee, headed over to the closing ceremony.

So basically I had to walk down 17 flights of stairs while carrying all of my luggage because the elevators were too full of people and we’d be late if we used to elevators. I had guessed on basically all of the questions on the test for my event, so I was certain that I wouldn’t get Top 10, let alone place.
The closing ceremony started blah blah blah, and then my event came. I literally swapped shoes with this kid on my bus, which was kinda funny, but I somehow managed to place Top 10(like wth how… either 10 people competed or I got +50 points for being asian or something). I didn’t place Top 3 so ig I’m not going to ATL for Nationals, but whatever I don’t care. KH and his partners got third, so they're going to ATL for Nationals yayyy!!!

Then, the results for Regional VP and State President came out. The girls next to me(who don’t go to my school), kept on calling CabbageCat a mixture of her own name and “the really pretty girl,” which I found very interesting, because she was literally the only girl running for State President.

Soo YN(who goes to Good Luck High School) won Regional VP, and so CabbageCat had to shake hands and officially pass over the position of Regional VP, but YOU COULD VISIBLY NOTICE THAT CabbageCat WAS PISSED OFF AND HER HANDSHAKE WAS SO COLD OMG MY RESPECT FOR CabbageCat SKYROCKETED LIKE CRAZY AFTER THAT AHHHHHHHH. Anyhow, I’m not going to post the video but everyone in the crowd was like “ooh,” and “Dannggg,” and “personally I would not take that,” but let it be known that Green Level booed YN when they found out that she won and nobody clapped for her :skull:.

Lastly, the State President results came in. The girls who didn’t go to my school were like “please CabbageCat please”(obviously they said her real name and not her aops username nor “the really pretty girl”). I was also really hoping that she won, and Matthew Almonte(actually I forgot his first name tbh) won.

I went to a really nice Vietnamese restaurant(by nice I mean the food not the looks of the place. The looks of the place was dull and sad asf). I had some really delicious Pho, and yeah that’s about it. Congrats to Carnage for literally sweeping the Middle-Level division.

Day 4:

So technically FBLA ended yesterday, but today I read for ESBOT(which is Enloe’s national-level invitational), and I literally died… Yeah I was sleep deprived and had a headache(and school starts back tomorrow!!!)

Uhh yeah there’s my march post i have no motivation to review it whatsoever, and spring break is this friday. Spam the comments if I made some typoes or whatever and spam the comments if you have any questions.
