The Alabama ARML team competes at the American Regions Mathematics League. Historically, the Alabama team has placed in the top 10 at ARML many times. In 2006, Alabama came in 15th in the A division.

Currently, Alabama brings one team and alternates to the ARML site at Las Vegas. Team selection is conducted by comparing scores from the AMC 12 and AIME and from two designated events during state tournaments: a short answer test given at the Vestavia Hills High School Math Tournament and ARML-style individual questions at the Hoover High School Math Tournament.
