May is an exciting month! National MATHCOUNTS is the second week of May in Washington D.C. and our Founder, Richard Rusczyk will be presenting a seminar, Preparing Strong Math Students for College and Careers, on May 11th.

Are you interested in working towards MATHCOUNTS and don’t know where to start? We have you covered! If you have taken Prealgebra, then you are ready for MATHCOUNTS/AMC 8 Basics. Already aiming for State or National MATHCOUNTS and harder AMC 8 problems? Then our MATHCOUNTS/AMC 8 Advanced course is for you.

Summer camps are starting next month at the Virtual Campus in math and language arts that are 2 - to 4 - weeks in duration. Spaces are still available - don’t miss your chance to have an enriching summer experience. There are middle and high school competition math camps as well as Math Beasts camps that review key topics coupled with fun explorations covering areas such as graph theory (Math Beasts Camp 6), cryptography (Math Beasts Camp 7-8), and topology (Math Beasts Camp 8-9)!

Sure... Try Chen's EGMO and Khurmi's MONT. Great books and very thorough, albeit extremely challenging at some points. Keep in mind to study in an organized manner, not learning random interesting theorems. Im at your age too and this is something I have personally struggled with, thats why I am mentioning it.
You can find them online easily in pdf format, but I suggest printing the books or buying them. Helps me study a lot more.

Hi, this is a separate doubt.. But how did you guys start with EGMO? Like do I just pick up the book and start solving if my Geo basics are good or do I cover other supplement materials before I start with this? And lastly how do I proceed if I am stuck with a question (and preferably could you explain how you guys overcame that)...To my knowledge some hints and some solutions are provided, they often require so much effort to try on your own :wacko:

It totally depends on your understanding
Like in case of geometry
Are your basic clear for example are you familiar
and can you proof theorems of class 8,9,10,11,12 maths ( geometry section) >>> if yes >> than you can proceed with EGMO> GRASP THEORY and solve problems.

Euclidean Geometry in Mathematical Olympiads - Evan Chen - Both book - good book. By far the greatest geometry book to prepare for olympiads. if you had to choose one book, its definitely this one
Muricaa- It is book/handout discussing popular configs in geo mostly pointed out to be well-known by aops-ers. It has 100 problems at the end with roughly the difficulty increasing as you move forward. It can be found here
Handouts on Projective Geometry and Moving Points A really nice handout written by Rohan Goyal, starting from basics and going upto nukes like DIT and DDIT can be found here. Another nice handout on learning the method of moving points and it's application in problems can be found here

For questions solving I guess you can use AI like chat gpt and my favourite deepseek
