Does anyone use the tags in forums? If so, how do you use them?

Sometimes I search for the "poll" tag to vote on random polls. I also use them to organize my PMs.

I think they can be useful! For instance, I added "moving points" tag to various problems I had done using moving points (not all though), so that it is easier for me (or anyone else) to search problems which may have a moving points solution. This is extremely helpful when you need problems for (say) including in a handout.

I think it's pretty useful for mock contest discussion forums if you want to find the thread for a certain question number easily. (For example, S28 or 10A18.)

They help out with organization... Like when I'm trying to find an AMC 10 Problem or something on C&P, tag searching is helpful. Please don't remove them...

Actually, The Journey uses tags perfectly. It also uses a userscript to have the tags color coded.

I run several "fun forums" that use strict tag organization as a means of making posts easy to find.

RtR has a very specific tag system to keep everything clean, neat, and easy-to-find. Most forums have unstandardized tag systems, with a lot of untagged topics, so they're useless. That's why I designed a specific one for RtR.

Tags are like a trust system. You trust other people use tags, but you also don't so, you also don't use tags.
