Well, people were asking me on completing the square so I typed it up. :D I'm so egocentric. :P

EDIT 2: There is a typo in section 6. The second equation should read $ 2x^2 + 6x - 42 = - 9$, NOT $ 2x^2 + 6x - 42 = 33$. I got ahead of myself there.
