Somehow, I got a 7 on #5, even though I complex number bashed, didn't finish myself, and ended up putting "One can check that [insert mess] is true, so we are done". :maybe:

Something tells me that wouldn't work on the USAMO.


7/2/6 on Advanced, I think I might actually attempt Advanced again next time.

7/6/0 Intermediate. Failed #5. Thinking of whether to do intermediate or advanced next time, considering my fail on #5 was due to the fact that it was geometry.

By the way, when you were in China, you told me that you failed PO3 advanced hard. A 15 is not exactly a failure, and even a 0/2/6 is not a failure. If you got 6 on #7, that's great!!! That problem is supposed to be late USAMO level (although I looked at it and this #7 apparently was at least as easy as #5).

#7's difficulty completely depends on what the author feels like making it, just like on the real usamo #6s lol.
