Infinitely many n with a_n = n mod 2^2010 [USA TST 2010 5]

N 24 minutes ago by ihategeo_1969
Define the sequence $a_1, a_2, a_3, \ldots$ by $a_1 = 1$ and, for $n > 1$,
\[a_n = a_{\lfloor n/2 \rfloor} + a_{\lfloor n/3 \rfloor} + \ldots + a_{\lfloor n/n \rfloor} + 1.\]
Prove that there are infinitely many $n$ such that $a_n \equiv n \pmod{2^{2010}}$.

GGG4: Quarantine Edition

"If it is GGG, it will be GG..."

Hi everyone! Over the past couple of years I have had the pleasure of creating another olympiad geometry contest. My first one can be found here, my second one can be found here, and my third one can be found here.

I’d like to note that LauraZed and I have spoken about posting this test in this forum before, so there should be no issue on that front.

The problems are attached to this post.

-------------------------------

As a disclaimer: all these problems are my own -- I wrote them all. However, I do need to mention that these problems are all published in various journals that have problem sections. This is more of a compilation of six interesting problems that have not been posted on AoPS yet.

Sources for each problem

This contest is somewhere above USAMO/IMO in difficulty. Please sign up by posting in this thread.

I don’t know how to grade bashes, so if you would like to sign up for grading those, I would be more than happy to let you take them.

Yes, if you'd like to take an entirely-geometry olympiad under normal testing conditions ... but to be honest, spend as much time as you'd like! I'm happy to see people enjoy my problems :)

(also I added a time limit for y'all olympiad purists)
