Looking for summer camps in math and language arts? Be sure to check out the video-based summer camps offered at the Virtual Campus that are 2- to 4-weeks in duration. There are middle and high school competition math camps as well as Math Beasts camps that review key topics coupled with fun explorations covering areas such as graph theory (Math Beasts Camp 6), cryptography (Math Beasts Camp 7-8), and topology (Math Beasts Camp 8-9)!

Be sure to mark your calendars for the following events:

1000th Post!
PikaPika999   53
N an hour ago by PikaPika999
When I had less than 25 posts on AoPS, I saw many people create threads about them getting 1000th posts. I thought I would never hit 1000 posts, but here we are, this is my 1000th post.

As a lot of users like to do, I'll write my math story:

Daycare
Preschool
Kindergarten
First Grade
Second Grade
Third Grade
Fourth Grade
Fifth Grade
Sixth Grade

In conclusion, AoPS has helped me improve my math. I have also made many new friends on AoPS!

Finally, I would like to say thank you to all the new friends I made and all the instructors on AoPS that taught me!

Minor side note, but

Every day, I will try to post a new problem for you all to solve! If you want to post a daily problem, you can! :)

Please hide solutions and answers, hints are fine though! :)

The first problem is:
Alice flips a fair coin until she gets 2 heads in a row, or a tail and then a head. What is the probability that she stopped after 2 heads in a row? Express your answer as a common fraction.
It really depends on how devoted you are to math… I would recommend editing your original post and include how long you can study, some other scores from other test, and books and tests you’ve done, so we have a better idea how to answer your question.

if your saying rn, then not very high especially since 2023 amc 10a was a very considerably easy test compared to any past test(other than 2024 amc 10b). Also how did u do worse on amc 10a 2023 than 2022(p=one of the hardest past amcs). anyways if you spend enough time on math then you could probably get in, also pls pm me if u have discord

EDIT: i thought u said DHR lol, u probably have a good chance at hr

Is this amc 10a or b or highest out of both? Also, 8th grade rn means 2 more years of amc10 and 4 more of amc 12 so I mean it can really go either way. Most people can't turn that score around very well but idrk what you'll do so like personally, maybe 8%?

If ur going rly serious about AMC 10, go on HSM, there are some good problems there, but the community is way worse.

*loud incorrect buzzer*
no one trolls about divisibility by 3 and half the problems are sqing’s inequalities

also because this is aops hsm problems are way too hard if you got a 55.5

if you can get the first 15 then hsm is good

if i got a 55.5 on amc10, what are my chances of making aime???

Is this amc 10a or b or highest out of both? Also, 8th grade rn means 2 more years of amc10 and 4 more of amc 12 so I mean it can really go either way. Most people can't turn that score around very well but idrk what you'll do so like personally, maybe 8%?

you are so wrong
i got a low 60 in 6th grade and was close to aime in 8th, not everyone can, but with effort you can and you cannot put a percentage on this @op
