$a,b>1, a -1= \frac{1}{b-1},a^2 - 2a +2 =(a-1)^2+1= \frac{1}{(b-1)^2}+1$ $\Longrightarrow (a^2 - 2a +2)(b^2 -2 b + 2) \geq 4 \iff\left(\frac{1}{(b-1)^2}+1\right)((b-1)^2+1)\geq 4$ $\iff (b-1)^2+ \frac{1}{(b-1)^2}\geq 2$
