I got sent to the Dean's office today.

I haven't been kicked out of class since... I don't know.. kindergarten!!! My grade in that class is a C right now despite me having a 100 on every test and quiz we've had this quarter. The reason - I missed a class day.

My teacher has the following makeup policy - if you are not here, you get a 0. No joke. Others have complained, but I was extremely vocal in class today about this idiocy and so she sent me out. However, I hope this is to be her undoing, since I used my time efficiently - relegated to the Dean's office I had a wonderful conversation with the Assistant Principle and other administrators about said policy and apparently others have raised this concern and even involved parents before. She will apparently be reprimanded... severely.

Now I couldn't switch classes before because you have to go through the head of the department to do that... and unfortunately the head of the department is my teacher (makes sense, it's not as if she can actually teach). However she unwittingly sent me to higher-ups and they are forcing her to let me switch to the class taught by the math team coach! However, I have to wait out the semester, which is worrisome because there is a very real chance that I might get a B. In math.
