Umm....what is happening? The $-\infty$ seems to be squashed but the $\infty$ is normal. This is from the AoPS Calculus ebook.

What if I do $- \infty$ ?

Edit: I found it! You should write a space between the dash and the \infty.

hmm yeah of you put a space between the - and the \infty, then it will show up normal, like this: $- \infty$

Hmmm now look at this

(In case you don't see it, there is the edit icon at the right side, but when I tried to submit my edit, it says "you don't have the permission to edit this post". Is this a glitch? Usually, I don't see the edit icon at the right side of a post that isn't mine)

ah yes sometimes you can edit other peoples post without being a mod/admin smhw
