I know I haven't really been posting cool facts. I'll get a few up soon.
OK, now some legit "blog" post stuff.
So today at church, my two brothers and I stayed after the first service a bit, along with some friends(3, to be exact). If any of you don't live in Silicon Valley, just to let you know, it is frigid right now in the Bay. Several times this past weeks has the temperature gotten to around 0 degrees Celsius. (Freezing point of water). The Bay Area, especially Silicon Valley, is supposed to have some of the nicest weather in the entire world.
It's so cold that my brother(youngest one) and his friend found what they called an "icicle" on the playground set. (Play structure). It turns out that some rain had collected on this...thing...(what do you call it?) and had stayed there. Before it could evaporate, it froze. The two 8~ish year olds ended up with a thin chunk of ice about

So that's how cold it was.
Originally, we were going to play hot-lava monster on this little playground(designed for 5-12 yr olds). I was the monster, but it turned out to be really hard, since there wasn't much to climb on that wasn't black. (We play that the hot-lava monster can't touch black, since most playgrounds are predominantly black). So, we decided to just play tag.
You would think that playing tag on a playground would lead to sweating and warming-up, but nope...not when it's freezing outside. The game was actually really intense, with everyone running as fast as possible. Slipping on the tanbark when you're going at least 20 mph is really entertaining. Ankle-breaking, sliding down slides, and all that great stuff makes the experience awesome.
Unfortunately, my hands were getting so cold despite the strenuous running, that they actually started to hurt from the cold. I know it's not from anything else. My friend was experiencing the same thing. I have some methods of warming up your hands, as well as the rest of your body, but I won't describe them here because they're rather weird.
Anyway, my friend whispered to me that he would ditch and see if anyone noticed. Right as my brother and friend (2 different people) came around the corner at top speed, my friend ran the opposite direction. I assumed he went all the way down the little hallway and into the building, but it turns out he stayed right around the corner. When everyone noticed, he was declared "it" since he had left the technical boundaries, though technically that was legal since we hadn't specified boundaries to the playground. We ended up walking away since it was so cold.
Today was a fun Sunday at church.
I hope all of you have blessed Christmas this year. May God bless you and your family as we near the celebration of His birth.
Best Regards and God bless! Merry CHRISTmas!
