hm first week of school at community college . . .
Physics 2
First day of class (Monday), I was worried about finding the classroom, but it turns out the door was right there in the front of the building. yay that was easy. The classroom is really nice, being in the new science/engineering building and all. There aren't any rows of desks or tables; all the chairs with (desks/tables attached) --wait or is it just "desks"-- have wheels on the bottom. So, you get a bunch of these things all over the room.
I also find out that there are two possible lab days. You are either in the Monday group, or the Wednesday group. As far as I could tell from the schedule in the course catalog, I thought lab was always on Wednesday. That fit our schedule so I chose this class. -prayed that I would be in the Wednesday lab group. -so yay I was in the Wednesday group.
On Tuesday, professor sends out an email notifying everyone of a room change or the lecture room. We're in some 5500 building that's not new.
So on Wednesday, I walk to class unsure of where it is, and since I got dropped off there late anyway, I walk into class a little late. 5500 is an octagonal building, divided into two classrooms. darn we actually had rows of desks (that don't move -__-). After almost two hours of deriving strange formulas for position, velocity, acceleration, etc. , the Wednesday lab group heads over to the lab room. (I consider the formulas to be strange because I could probably solve problems that use them faster by deriving more simple step/stuff)
The lab room isn't changed. It's still in the new science/engineering building(s). I exit the lecture room kinda in front because I'm near the door. I walk over with a few other guys, but we find the door locked. With nothing else to do I go use the bathroom (better now than later).
We wait outside the room until the professor comes and unlocks the door.
Everyone has a Dell laptop they can use on the table in front of them. The computers are connected to cables that are locked so you can't just run away with a laptop. The only thing we do with them is use Microsoft Excel.
If anything interesting happens during lab I'll blog about it.

Spanish 1
3 days of the week, at lunch time. The professor is pretty cool. She's half Asian/half Mexican which is interesting. . .
I feel kinda bad though, because I've already taken almost 3 years of Spanish before.
So the teacher talks a lot in Spanish because you want exposure right? (Even if the class can't understand it) But lol I find I can understand most, if not all, of it. XP
Spanish class involves a lot of getting up, walking around and talking to people in Spanish . . .ugh. But I guess it makes it less boring (cough*physics*)
On Thursday (ooh 1st day of math club this year -yay failed a 100 question 30 min test), in Spanish, I sat next to this guy named A. and he's pretty cool. There's a lot of weird people at community colleges

*Announcements* -sort of
- Tags/Categories: I'm gonna stop tagging "Blog Posts" "Epic Items" etc. because they're obviously extremely dominant tags. I'm gonna try to go back and edit tags/categories for the past year.
"Blog Post" "Epic Item" etc. will just be categories. - Contributors: I'ts kinda special to have all these contributors, but sometimes this blog doesn't feel private anymore. I'm cool with a lot of what other people post, but sometimes it's a bit much.
Starting October 1 (temporary date), the following will apply:- Huge contrib list will only be activated on weekends (temporary).
- Mon-Fri, only a select list of members will be allowed to post (contribute).
- You can be taken off the list for some time. Posting randomly will not be okay.
Some (*cough*SFGF*) have already wondered who will be among the "select list." Right now, off the top of my head: (for sure)thkim1011, PiesAreSquared, thatmathgeek, foreverhapp, briantix, happyeagle, (maybe) SFGiantsFan -u know y, programming1157 - Topics: I'm so busy; I don't know if I'll be able to have AP Comp Sci/AP Calc BC stuff on my blog and "bloggy" stuff and stuff I want to write about. Don't expect me to post too often about any specific topic.
