I forgot some things in my previous post.
btw, thanks to everyone for viewing my blog even when I was away. I feel very honored to have one of the most actively viewed blogs on AoPS currently. It's all because of you guys. If there's anything you think I could add/change to improve my blog, please let me know. When I get home, I'll try to finish up the feedback doc.
You may have noticed that I "took down the Christmas decorations."
I'm in the process of obtaining a nice CSS. I really want to make my own, and hopefully I'll be able to over the break. (Don't expect it to be really cool or anything though)
I've heard a lot recently about college apps and whatnot. There are a lot of smart people out there. I met a girl today who's taken almost every single AP test, and gotten a 5 on all of them. She only took classes for most of them, and studied a few on her own(including AP Music Theory.)
On Friday, I went to Pomona College, Claremont MacKenna College, Scripps College, Pitzer College, and Harvey Mudd College. It's kinda confusing, because "Pomona" actually refers to all of the above. However, there's an individual "Pomona College" in the same campus. (All those colleges are literally right next to each other). I could probably throw a paper airplane(one of my better ones) over at least 3 of the colleges.
It's a pretty nice campus, and I think it would be nice to go to Pomona. (Referring to the overall one; I would probaby be at either the individual "Pomona," or Harvey Mudd. Scripps is an all-girls college.)
We got to do something really fun at one of the colleges. Darn I can't remember which one; it might have been Harvey-Mudd, but I can't remember. It was outside this little cafe/auditorium place. There's a set of stairs that goes down, and it's pretty tall. The stairs are awkwardly bent and there's different sizes, with more shorter steps on the side, and big giant ones down the middle. Handrails go all the way down on the sides. My friend(the same one that was playing sticker-football), my brother, and I did the obvious thing to do(at least, for guys).
We sat on the handrail and slid all the way down.
From my amazing memory,

I've never gone that fast down handrails before. You got at least 7 seconds to accelerate, resulting in extremely fast sliding. The things that hold the handrails up(banisters?) kinda get in the way, and I smacked my finger on them twice. sigh*
My friend had his camera, and I recorded him going down, and we played it backwards. The coolest part of the video was actually not the sliding upwards, but the start. Played normally, he sort of flew/jumped off the handrail; therefore, when played backwards, it appeared that he took a backwards-running start, jumped perfectly onto the handrail, and initiated his ascent.
The bookstore was cool too.
Last Sunday of 2013.
The Pope was TIME magazine's person of the year. Edward Snowden was second.
Yesterday, we did some pretty epic things at Joshua Tree National Park, and I might actually post some pictures.

To more whet your appetite for the new epic item/cool fact series...
What country is French toast from?
Stay tuned!
