Gravity
Yesterday, we had some friends come over. Besides watching the World Cup, we played ping-pong and watched Gravity. The movie was actually pretty good. Excellent special effects and action, although occasionally kinda boring. I was expecting the soundtrack to be better though. There was this repetitive theme (sort-of) that played every time something "bad" was going to happen.
What stuck out though: (Not really a spoiler or anything) In that scene where she's alone in the Soyuz, listening to that guy talking/singing on the radio, she says "No one ever taught me how to pray." (After saying something about how she wanted to pray)
hm.
So (at least for me) prayer [to God] is just talking to him, and there's no need to be taught.

De Anza Math 1A
wow this class is going to be easy. Today we spent an hour going over the course and doing some introductions. 10 min. break (where I did nothing while everyone else is on their cell phone)Then about 70 minutes of "Pre-calc review" which ended up being a ton of stuff about the basics of functions. If you did MATHCOUNTS you would probably be perfectly fine. I stopped taking notes after a while.
I've already learned everything in the course anyway. The only challenge is going to be writing. My right wrist is so screwed up, writing is rather sloppy. I emailed the professor to see if I can at least type out some of the homework. I'll just have to struggle through the exams and quizzes.

surgery tomorrow :(
Today I went back to the doctor for a checkup. bad news. We took some X-rays and found out that the bone had moved back to the weird position. (2 weeks ago when I fractured my wrist, my radius (the fore-arm bone on the inside) had, besides almost completely split, been bent 10-15 degrees up. The doctor had set it back in place. After a week of being in a partial cast, the bone had bent back up.
At 11:00 A.M. tomorrow I'm going to have a surgery to fix my arm. It sucks because I can't eat or drink anything after midnight tonight.
They're putting some pins and a wire or something in my wrist. XP

Here's the soundtrack I listened to while typing this up. (Most of the good songs I felt like sharing)
