Why don't you put "Let
be the set of positive integers" at the top of your problem/solution and go ahead.
Although I use
and $\mathhbb{Z}^+_0$ for positive/nonnegative integers respectively.
Peano defined 0 to be not a natural number, but eventually mathematicians changed the "1 is a natural number" axiom to "0 is a natural number". (Source: Wikipedia)
So yeah. Ambiguous notation.
