how (not) to prove Hilbert's Nullstellensatz

I don't know why I find this so funny:

Um, ok, I don't know how to prove Hilbert's Nullstellensatz yet. Just reminding myself I think I should look up the stuff I'm studying on Wikipedia more often.
...okay, also maybe fishing for somebody who can explain to me what this Nullstellensatz has to do with the combinatorial one, beyond the obvious fact that they sort of have something to do with zeroes or nonzeroes of polynomials...
