Summer Update

ahhhh how do I teach kids Geo 1
like I've been trying to go through the notes from the class I TA'd last year; while I like the first few days overall, I think the rest needs major overhaul (or at least according to the way I want to teach the course, which will probably cover strange things like trigonometric computation and various basic configurations (e.g. Fact 5/reflection of orthocenter) that most Geo 1 courses probably don't teach)
but at the same time I'm pretty sure I'm making things too hard for the students if I continue to go at this pace darndarndarn
teaching is hard
On a few unrelated notes,

On a few unrelated notes,
- While searching for problems, I looked through my old math notebooks and found a problem I wrote back in freshman year of college that I couldn't solve at the time. I went back and actually solved it! So now I have a AIME proposal (for now, at least; may decide to submit the problem elsewhere later), which I'm in dire need of since they're due in two weeks :O Fortunately, AMC proposals are not due for another 1.5 months because they got the call out later than usual, which means I can focus on AIME for the time being.
- Playing Banjo-Kazooie on an actual Nintendo 64 is pretty fun. This is the second time I've gone back and played this game, which I've had basically since its release but never went through when I was younger because I was always scared at that game. (The first time, I made it all the way to Frezeezy Peak before ragequitting; I'm about at that point now, but I've been doing better on almost every single level when compared to my first runthrough two years ago.)
EDIT: 100/100 notes, 8/10 Jiggys, and 2/2 hexagon pieces over about 1:20:00 of playtime (compared to 0/8 hexagon pieces over the first four worlds - strange). Time to move on for now.
