Some Soothing Music

Campus is quiet, and will (probably? hopefully?) be quiet for the rest of the semester. Not sure what that will entail, but the serenity will be nice, in a strange sort of way. (Perks of living in a college town in the middle of Illinois, I guess.)

Who knows what will happen the rest of the semester. 2022 AMC proposals are due in a little more than a week but I don't have much at the moment, mainly because I'm used to cranking out some during the summer (which I can't do now since the AMCs have been moved up to November). I'm hopeful that I'll be able to squeeze out a few more before the end of the month, though, as always, this is not a given. (Or maybe this shouldn't be my first priority now, anyway.)

Also this game is quite good, glad I'm finally getting around to playing it.

are you still living/studying online on campus?

Yes. Many students were asked to leave if possible, but that suggestion did not apply to those living in graduate student housing, so I'm going to hunker down here instead of going back to New Jersey. ~dj

what are your thoughts on jmo/mop/amo/aime ii getting cancelled?

Kinda sucks, but it makes sense. Certainly, I'm okay with AIME II getting canceled, considering it would have been luck-based whether any individual person would have been able to take the exam anyway. And if you don't have the AIME II, then you don't have any of the subsequent exams, at least for the time being. I'm interested in seeing what happens to the remaining problems, though. ~dj
