This Semester is Over

and I don't want to deal with virtual grad school ever again.

Some passing thoughts now that all my take homes are done:
  • Teaching for AwesomeMath is gonna be weird this year. I've finally received my teaching duties, and it looks like I'll be teaching an NT2 class all three sessions, with an additional G2 class in the first session. (I'm not necessarily the only person teaching these courses, though.) Definitely looking forward to molding G2 the way I want it to be molded, but I'm still a bit uneasy about teaching for nine weeks online.
  • Now that I will be staying on campus all summer, I plan on exploring a bit of analysis. At this point, I am 99% certain I will be reading this book under the guide of the first author. I'm not necessarily a Partial Differential Equations person, but I've been told this book can help give me an window into how harmonic analysis techniques are used in "real life", so it should be interesting.
  • Some hopefully interesting math jams are coming up in a few weeks! Stay tuned....

I don't want to do online college again. Unfortunately, the college just announced that we will be doing virtual instruction again next semester. :( This also makes my job harder since I will have to do entirely online tutoring again next semester.

Online engineering classes are significantly easier. I kind of liked this last semester online. :)

  • Do you have a link to your main blog that you started after graduating from high school, I couldn't find it. @dj I met you IRL at Awesome Math summer Program several years ago.
