oh god
this was prob the most eventful and problematic year for my friend situation (and I thought last yr was bad lol). well let's see... I met some of the best friends in the entire world, my friends who are/were in 8th grade. I'm so sad that they're gonna be in a diff school next year (I started tearing up on the last day of school lol). I also drifted away from some other friends after things happened, which I'm okay with since that's normal. after the stuff im.a mention in the next "paragraph" I got closer to 2 friends, linny and Neha. they're very trustworthy and kool

i thought I made a friend for life. we met through mutual friends last summer. we were literally BEST friends in the whole universe and treated each other like siblings. we talked to each other way too much over chat every single day and called too. I thought that I'd finally found a friendship that would last. I was mistaken but its wtv. bad stuff happened between us but I'm fine now so yea. if u wanna read more abt this person there's stuff abt them somewhere on aops u just gotta look for it

I think I'd rate my pool of teachers this year like a 9/10
all my teachers this year were awesome lol. they were all fun, flexible, and taught me a lot. if im just going off of the teachers, this was probably the best year ever. like of course there was the occasional boring class or test, but besides that, it was great. there were a bunch of cool projects too. in English, there was 1 essay that I really enjoyed writing which was abt school pew pews if u know what I mean. we got to pick our own topic so that's what I chose. it was the first time in an essay that I actually got to put my raw feelings into and I got to write abt more intense topics. in seminar I got to make a short documentary abt capital punishment and if it should be kept in the United States or not which was cool. I also got to pick that topic lol

2 teachers really stood out to me this year:
billiam (music and orchestra teacher) and my health teacher. both 11/10.
my health teacher MADE FAMILY LIFE BEARABLE FOR ONCE LIKE QHAT A LENGEND. he also taught us everything based on facts and didn't put any of his opinion into stuff so that it was just raw info for us to interpret
I might hafta make a whole post dedicated to billiam cuz he's just too good

there was def a significant jump in difficulty in tests and grading and stuff this year
like projects, quizzes, and homework were all graded more strictly. math tests were mainly difficult cuz of the sheer amt of times I fell asleep in class. there was this science test that was on our whole like chemistry unit and I DEFINITELY didn't study enough. I literally guessed the answers to 7 questions like what. but somehow I still got 100% cuz pupitre luck was on my side.

somehow I got all my grades to average out to between 99-100+%. I'm not rlly sure yet cuz I can't access my grades in taiwan lol

basically every day I wore a hoodie with a t shirt and sweatpants to school lol. occasionally I'd wear a t shirt with a button up over it (like what I wore in my outfit revs). in terms of shoes this year I started out with like normal black and white sneakers. then I moved up to all black sneakers and I changed out the s
laces for rainbow ones cuz why not lol. and then I changed those out for these black sneakers that have rainbow designs on them like on the heel and on the sides. now I'm wearing all black sneakers with bright purple laces in taiwan. super soft and cushiony lol. i never took my hoodie off even in the summer and im pretty sure i almost oofed from the heat multiple times

overall I'd give it a 8.91/10
it was super duper fun cuz my 8th grader friends and linny and Neha and tea were there too
the only reason why it isn't a 10/10 is cuz I was the only viola lol. the songs that billiam chose for us were all so good lol. we did somewhere in my memory from home alone and it sounded so nice. I still haven't processed that this happened BUT I GOT TO PLAY LIKE A 4 MINUTE SOLO LIKE AASKAKAQBBQG. but ye. very excited for orchestra next year cuz the og select strings will be backkk

overall it gets an 8.9/10. it will never be as fun as orchestra but it was great. songs were all so fun to sing and a bunch of my friends got solos!! not me tho pupitre sux at singing lol. my favorite songs we sang were the auctioneer and inscription of hope. auctioneer is super fun and upbeat and fast lol and inscription of hope is literally the opposite and kinda depressing but the melody is so nice. can't waif for chorus next year. hopefully addy joins hehe

this year was both the best and worst year ever at the same time
best because I met the coolest people ever and worst because well...
life happens
but that's okay
can't wait for 8th grade but I have a feeling it's gonna be slightly more difficult than 7th grade. I think the teachers are gonna be nice but also stricter.
I hope I have billiam for music lol.
