btw this is gonna be kinda a sad/rant post so if u don't like that stuff u don't hafta keep reading
well basically
a few days ago at my viola lesson
like out of nowhere my teacher said like
"I don't think ur committed enough to playing viola. if u wanna get good u need to start trying harder or else ur gonna stay at this level forever"
and then she basically said some other stuff telling me abt how I need to try harder or I'll never be successful or smth
so now like
it's making me really wanna quit cuz like
she made me really sad
at my lesson I was legit holding back tears
cuz she doesn't know I practice like 10 hours per week
and she doesn't know how much effort I put into it :sob:
she also said smth like
"at this point I wouldn't be surprised if u just dropped viola for piano altogether because I'm pretty sure u hate viola"
like bruh
every time I practice now I keep feeling really bad about my playing
like I don't wanna quit
but at the same time my teacher is making me feel like
bad
lol
