why do we exist

I've been thinking about this a lot for the past two weeks so this is (mostly) gonna be a post with okay grammar for once.
This is inspired by addys uh rather short post btw.
Why are we here? Like what's the purpose of us being on this rock in the middle of nowhere? What's the point of the universe? Like why are we living, breathing, conscious beings? Like literally (as far as we know) there isn't like a fundamental purpose for us being here. Why do we think like this? Why do we have functioning brains, beating hearts, and moving limbs? It's just so many questions. How in the world did we develop from all those early species of humans and how come it was us who outlived the Neanderthals. How different would the world be if the Neanderthals outlived us?
Literally all that happens is we're born. And we have a "meaningful" life. We get an education, relationships, talents, connections, habits, memories. But then one day you just.. die. Like whether it's being killed by someone or dying of a sickness or dying of old age. One day you're just gone. All your experiences and memories are gone. You live and you die. But why. Like seriously what are we. Why do we feel the need to communicate? The common answer is probably like "humans are social creatures." But why though? For all that we know we're just 8+ billion little things moving around a rock with water. does this even make sense like what
I just can't get over the fact that one day everything's just gonna be gone
As nice as it seems, I dont really believe in an "afterlife" (don't come after me pls :sob:)
Even if there WAS some sorta afterlife, it still isn't life itself
you don't get to interact with the real world anymore do you?
you aren't really ALIVE anymore
why are we so sentimental about life too
I find it really interesting that it's probably impossible for our brains to comprehend "consciousness"
as much as I want to understand it, I can't
it always just gets to a certain point and I can't think any further cuz it's too much to think about
anyways this was a REALLY long post
adios
