no air conditioning

my whole house is functioning off of fans
last night our ac failed
and we have no cool air in the house anymore
and the humidity is really high
so last night I slept with 2 fans in my room and no blanket
I still woke up sweating
disappointing
I think it's bc the ac capacitor failed after getting worn out by recent heat waves and a power surge
but I'm not abt to tell my dad that cuz it gonna make me seem like a nerd
I alr know how to fix the problem but I'm not risking electrocuting myself
luckily we have 7 massive fans that keep us cool during kendo so we're also using those downstairs
