Self explanatory

Today, the AMC, AIME, and USAMO got crossed off the list of math competitions that my school will participate in this year.

Well you live in China iirc so just do their olympiad. It's probably better than ours :D.

No I've said this quite a few times before. I go to an AMERICAN school in China and an American citizen. I'm not eligible for the Chinese olympiad.

:( is it possible for you to come to the us to take it?

yea but the logistical issues and the contacting with the MAA... recall that last year I took the AIME in a local chinese school and to this day I don't know what I got. And I would have to fly back and forth multiple times for AMC, AIME, USAMO (poss) in the midst of the busiest part of my junior year. Plus the school/all my teachers are EXTREMELY stringent in these kind of things as they see no point in non-sports-related trips away from school (much less to the US multiple times).

holy f*ck i'm sorry

could you possibly take it somewhere else?

Maybe. It's going to be a long (and precarious) journey before I can see if I can find a test center to do this.

SSD you still have time to pursue mathematical research you have $\approx \text{4-5 months}$ to work on that. Good luck SSD. Oh yeah live long and prosper(I like the Vulcan Salute).

I suggest finding another test center. All is not yet lost. If there's even a hint of a possibility, I'd fully support you going for it. Maybe contacting the director for China could help, like ask for any legit test centers nearby Shanghai, and try to find a spot in one of them. Remember, this is a USAMO Dream - dreams aren't easy.

Darn that was inspirational birdy I'm still trying to maintain my last stand against the school administration to see if I can make something happen.

Try taking USAMTS, and then there goes the necessity to take AMC; I'm pretty sure you can get at least an 11 on the AIME...
