AMC Next Week.../!!!

I hope everyone's preparations are going well. I've been practicing by reviewing by:

-Doing AIME questions (hard questions always help)
-AMC Advantage
-Doing all the AHSMEs and all the AMC 12s ever (I stopped at 2010 last week to save the most recent years for the weekend)

I got the 2015 AMC 10B (which I never did), an AMC Advantage mock AMC 10 and several other AMC 12s waiting for me on the weekend and next Monday.

Also, I figured that whenever

I just want you guys to know I'll start legit blogging pretty soon. Hope you guys are all successful on the AMCs!

Did doing the AMC 12's improve your AMC 10 Score?

Yes it did, esp. the last 5 questions.

I wish you the very best shiningsunnyday! Know that if you do end up getting a really good score, you most definitely will have deserved it, given all this hard work you're putting in. If not, know that you're still a really smart kid, and keep at it!

Also, I would highly recommend going slowly (or at least methodically) and/or checking your work on questions 1-15. They aren't hard, but they're easy to make stupid mistakes on. This has been my downfall on all the AMCs.

Thanks a lot! I hope you the best too! As for stupid mistakes, I've found a way to curb that by stopping after I finish the first 15 questions, quickly doing a "sanity" check for every question, as well as making sure I go through, step-by-step, to detect any logical fallacies for every counting problem (these are really easy to mess up on).

Are you much more confident now in doing AMC 10s after practicing AMC 12s? I think that you should try for a 150. Try finishing the first 20 questions in 30 mintues. It shouldn't be too hard!

Best of luck to you! You mentioned how the AMC 12's improving your contest scores. How do you think I should prepare since right now, the problem for me on the AMC 10 is I always have no time to get to the last 5 problems and no idea how to approach them.
