So hi! i'm posting my musical stuff here too so more people can see! make sure to check out my blog too!
So if y'all are wondering about my music life here it is.
Achievements - piano:
2015-2016, age 6, grade 1 - really nothing, finished Suzuki book 1 for piano and won a competition
2016-2017, age 7, grade 2 - won grand prize (along with several others) in a competition and got to go to Carnegie hall for the winner's recital, and in the spring of 2017, won first place in YAPC - Age Achievement - age 8, and got a trophy that was taller than half my body XD, and then took the RCM level 1 piano exam which i got a 93/100, which was the highest score for my center and state on Level 1 XD. I also got 3rd place at the competition I got first place in the 2015-2016 year.
2017-2018, age 8, grade 3 - got first prize (with several others) in two international competitions (Elite International Music Competition, and Crescendo something something, i forgot lol), was invited to play at Carnegie Hall for both of them. Then in the spring i was once again invited to play at Carnegie Hall for my achievements on my Level 1 RCM exam. And then that same spring, i won 2nd place at another competition, and then 3rd place at Bay State, which imo is pretty hard to win. That year I skipped Levels 2, 3, and went onto Level 4. On my Level 4 RCM exam I got a 91, which is decent and it was the highest scoring level 4 score at my exam center.
2018-2019, age 9, grade 4 - got first prize again in the Elite International Music Competition, was once again invited to Carnegie Hall to play. I fractured my left hand, fourth finger in the spring, and was off for 3 weeks. that caused me to miss YAPC. But i participated in Bay State and got a honorable mention. from my achievements last year in RCM, i also was once again invited to play at Carnegie hall. I also participated in the Steinway piano competition, which I made it to the finals, then didn't get anything XD. Once again, i was invited to play at Carnegie hall for my efforts in Level 5. On the RCM level 6 theory exam, i got a 98.5, but they so kindly rounded it to 99, so yeah. XD. i also took the RCM level 5 theory exam in december and got a 100/100 lol Woohoo! Then this early december, i tested my Level 5 RCM and got a 93, which is even more decent than last years, and it was another state and center high XD.
2019-2020, age 10, grade 5 - got first prize in Elite once again, and got the highest score for that competition (in my history) so far with a 28.5/30. I then participated in Level 6 RCM exam in December and got a 88 (boohoo). but i can elaborate on that. my examiner looked scary to me (no offense) and I was one, intimidated the whole time, and two petrified the whole time. but IDK if that affected my score XD. Then you expected it, i was invited to Carnegie Hall for Elite but, my mom didn't let me go because it was 3 days before Covid-19 was declared a pandemic. Soon after that, YAPC and Bay State got cancelled. That left one more competition: Steinway. I didn't win anything at Steinway (boohoo) but it was virtual. and i'll tell you that my heart pumps so fast and my hands are so sweaty that i can mess me up. i go crazy under pressure like that. So yeah. Then on August 3rd, I took my RCM Level 7 exam online and got a 90. Woot woot! it was a improvement from last year at least XD. and now i'm currently working on preparing for the Russian Music Festival, which was the competition I won Grand Prize in in 2016. oh and adding on for Theory, the test was online, and I got a 100 again! woot woot!
Piano Repertoire: 2015-2016: all the suzuki book 1 piano songs, and sonatina in C major by William Dumcobe (IDK how you spell his last name).
2016-2017: i played Level 1 RCM pieces, but I forget the names, and then I learned Playing Ball and A Sad Story from 30 Children's Pieces op. 27 by Dmitri Kabalevsky.
2017-2018: uh i played through all level 2 and 3 RCM pieces and worked on RCM level 4 pieces, which i forget the names of. I believe this year I worked on Mazurka op. 17 no. 2 by Chopin and movement 2 of Mozart sonata, K283. And I worked on RCM Level 5 stuff too.
2018-2019: this year I learned the first movement of a Haydn Sonata in D. HOBXVI:33. then I also worked on 4 selections from Schumann's Kinderszenen. And I worked on RCM Level 6 stuff. XD
2019-2020: this year I learned Waltz in E minor B.56 by Chopin and the Praeluduim, Allemande and Gigue from Bach's first partita in B-flat major. I worked on Level 7 stuff, got to play Fur Elise.

For piano, i ain't any type of prodigy.
Violin stats:
2018-2019, age 9, grade 4 - started off in school orchestra. didn't learn too much, learned the basics like twinkle twinkle, and other stuff.
2019-2020, age 10, grade 5 - started private lessons in August of 2019. Started the Suzuki series with book 1. Learned two octave scales right now. got to book 2 by the end of January, finished book two by the end of February or March, then started book 3. Books 2 and 3 i learned 3 octave major scales, started developing vibrato, and started learning third position. during book 3, i auditioned for a orchestra, but didn't get in. instead i got in the orchestra the level below it, which is fine considering i barely have any orchestra experience XD. I also started the Wohlfahrt etudes, op. 45. And started on numbers 1 and 2. and then, skipped a bunch to go to book two of that. after that, started book 4. learned until right now, currently working on the Bach Double in D minor, violin II, movement I. I am also working Whistler etudes as well. i'm on Wohlfahrt etude no. 37, and Whistler etude no. 32 (i think).
I ain't a prodigy either in violin, though i learned quickly i can say.
