is it just me or do i really miss the person i was when ta was boom or do i kinda hate it at the same time
idek i kinda want to talk about it lool maybe as a reunion with some of the people i interacted with back then that are close enough for me to have a good convo with without actually fighting with them

because to be fair now that i look back i was a naive + immature as flip jerk that tried to be the "best person i could" but really didnt work out that way because i feel like if i ran it with the person i am right now i would have done a lot better with the being too influenced by friends and getting to overwhelmed with everything
but then again i was a lot nicer back then so idek??????

ngll i never really intended ta to be bigg and when it kind of exploded i was really shocked but happy since ive always been a super ambitious person
i dont think it will ever be the same again ofcc
but i think of it more as a memory ykyk?? sorry ming i dont think itll happen again (maybe, most likely not thoo) but ii see xarcades doing well with a lot of former arcade people on it

Xarcade's got a nice community. I wish I could fit in though. Ever since TA died I've never really found the right community for me. For good or for bad, I became one of those people who knew stuff and used that knowledge to help (?) game forums. I've got such a reputation that I got mod and then admin in Xarcade without even half trying, and whenever the head admins have like a big issue they always ask me for help, but that doesn't make me happy. As selfish as it sounds, I don't want to be their wikipedia. All I ever wanted to do is have fun, but that just doesn't happen anymore, I guess. I still don't want to give up on game forums though. Maybe it's the memory of having fun that pushes me on. Even though I haven't done a lot of game forum-related stuff for a while, I'm still exhausted from it.

It's fine, I know I'd be asking too much for another TA. Everyone has other stuff to do, you're going into high school which will take up significantly more time than middle school. I'm going into junior year with a brutal schedule. And as RyanWang says, most people aren't really here anymore. The ones who are still here are probably too busy for a revive. Even if the logistics worked out, it won't be the same. It could be five times more better than original TA, but to me it would just be any other forum.

And to answer your question, it's normal to miss the person you were, no matter how bad you think that person was. Remember it well, especially the good stuff. Cuz you're never going back.

yeah. ta really was the only one there for me. it was rough, and i was stupid, but it was. a good forum. it was a good experience, for the sake of learning from it, or for just the experience itself, but... well.
it was just. good. my brother and i would constantly make jokes about the admins and id be like "whos ur favorite woman" and my brother would respond with "flec" and we'd have a good laugh over it. i was 11 then, he was 9.
it was sort of at a time where i thought internet arguments were normal and also at a time where i thought i was cis (i was absolutely not). but it was a good time, and nothing will ever really be the same.
i don't exactly remember what happened, but i do remember being happy.
so while i'm not looking for new friends (tiring) or reconnecting (also tiring), thank you, flec. thanks for making TA.

@awesomeming i dont mean to be selfish either ;; i just saw you on xarcade and thought you found another comm. for you then looked and saw that you didn't have 900 posts on it and got a little confused. this clarifies it though. i think its hard to find another place to fit in once youve seen something thrive then die. it's just not the same. it's kind of like seeing your home burn up and move to another one. its not gonna be the same like you can still like it, but the original spark is gone. that's why i chose not to join xarcade even when i was offered mod

i've been seeing a lot of arcade forums nowadays and i dont even care to stop by anymore. i remember when i was like (10/11) during arcade times and i would absolutely get pissed and protective over arcade when i was any forum with a single game that matched our forum :laugh:

i suppose we changed for the better. no, no another ta, but maybe another fun group we can make just to chat ;; that would be nice ;; but i think if we remembered ta the way it was it would be better than making another one that completely flops and our original image shatters.

i'm glad ta could make you really happy. thats probably what i wanted back then. i dont remember exactly either, but who wouldnt be happy if they saw other people happy from your forum, i guess. also lol thats funny.. i also remember when everyone would mistaken me for a boy back when it first started
our little fights on ta were like devastating for some of us back then lol i remember actually crying when i argued with idek who but i just remember crying
but now that i look back it just kind of seems like eleven/twelve years olds fighting like ig cutely if you put it that way ?? and i can laugh over it now. thanks to you too, adra.. as much as you think you were stupid back then, i really liked that you haha <3

yeah, violetmx12 was my first account, but then it was passed down to my brother! you probably remember it as my brother's account though, because of the whole thing where he stole formatting from TA and i didn't even know and it was all just him
