Veterans Day For Meow

Let's take a moment to honor all our veterans who fought day and night for our country.
This is an edited version with cuter stuff, like a cat <3.
Including those veterans are probably lots of family members, dead or alive, including my grandfather.
To help us understand the importance of our veterans, let's welcome in MR. WINSTON, who is a veteran cat himself <3.

Mr. Winston: Henlo everyone, I am your host for the tour for today!
Mr. Winston: First we are going to travel far back in time to World War I.

Mr. Winston: Here we see the Lusitania sinking, which was a big part that led lots of countries to fight in World War II. 128 Americans drowned as the Lusitania sank due to German U-boats. Our veterans realized the importance of the lives of these 128 people and it was a part that lead America to join the war.
Mr. Winston: This wasn't all, though. German boats were sinking American merchant boats everywhere, infuriating our veterans even more. "Wilson cited Germany's violation of its pledge to suspend unrestricted submarine warfare in the North Atlantic and the Mediterranean, as well as its attempts to entice Mexico into an alliance against the United States, as his reasons for declaring war," says history.state.gov.
Mr. Winston: So America entered the war. Our veterans knew that as they were entering the war, most of them were going to die. But they thought, "Hey, we can do this for our country. I am my country, and my country is my life." It was true. Lots and lots of American soldiers died; a total count of 116,516. These 116,516 people launched themselves in the war and gave their all. A sign of true patriotism.
Mr. Winston: Veterans Day was created to honor these veterans, and even the veterans who hadn't died. They fought and gave their all for America and its justice. Every action they did, every word they spoke, while in the war, it was for America.
Let's all take a moment to recognize our veterans, dead or alive, for everything they did, and everything they strived to do.
