blackout poetry

it's where you either write something or take it out from a book, and then cross out letters to make a poem
original:
Dear Via,
I might be high up a little bit. I might always be lingering above you, and when I lift you up to my eye level, I know it seems like you might fall to your death. I know the cars in the street look like ants scurrying around, I know the houses look like the erasers you lost all the time. When you climbed the diving board today and looked down, I know you felt like your breath would be stolen when you fell, that you would somehow land the wrong way, somehow would disappear when you hit the water. But I promise it will be okay. I promise that I’ll lower you gently to your feet. I promise I’ll make sure you never fall, and if you do, the landing is soft. I’ll make sure you’ll never be hurt.

blackout:
Via,
I might be lingering
when I lift you
to my eye level
seems like you might fall
cars look like ants
houses look like erasers
When you looked down
you felt like your breath would be stolen when you fell
somehow land wrong
somehow disappear
But I promise
I’ll lower you
to your feet
never fall
land soft
never hurt.

reflection:
it was kind of hard to post this on aops because there's no highlighting feature as i know it lol
same goes for all of my pieces--this one means a lot to me and stealing the idea in any way would lead to me being really pissed off and would not hesitate to call you out on this very blog.
i mean, if you want a whole entry dedicated to you, that would be a pretty good way.
what i mean by this is not writing anything in my style like this (like involving the phobia, a person, etc) well for personal use it would be a good way to overcome fears, but like to post it anywhere absolutely not, no.
i was originally going to submit this piece to scholastic but you know what happened there... hopefully i can enter it to something else! i really like this
