rip privacy i'm dying tomorrow

so my mom basically went through my backpack, grabbed my diary
aka the rant journal
read it

it was filled with crush text, art, poetic lyrics that sound really sus and cringey out loud
i didn't use code names in it ;w;

oh even worse she took pictures of the entire thing and sent it to our family members!!! :-D

i was scrolling through camera roll for my insta stories and i saw it
that was my oh sh*t moment :/

I can understand reading through the diary. Parents can find their kids to have really big problems like s//cidal thoughts or substance abuse, or maybe some less serious but still relevant issues. However, taking pictures is an invasion of privacy and sending it to family members is completely unacceptable, for obvious reasons.

hes a good man.
he woke me up at like 5 am after he went through everything and asked me if i needed a therapist.
i was too embarrassed to say yes and denied everything.
i dont think he took my depression seriously though since i was young at the time.
i kind of understand his point of view. especially with how i acted at the time.

even at a young age, depression is a serious thing. i understand that your dad is a good man and he does seem like it, now that i hear your pov. but threatening to tell your mom if you weren't good about depression and using it against you is a terrible mistake. i'm happy that you can understand his actions, though C:. that's how a good relationship develops
