yeah tbh there are peeps who try adn manipulate christianity into their own thing
which means they aren't christan
even if they do say there are

also real christians aren't suppose to condemn others
they are suppose to pray
but a multitude of christans have fallen off that path

trying to be perfect is also terrible in my opinion. the strict rules of christianity never worked with me and never made me a better person because i'm a firm believer that in order to do good, you have to be able to do bad, too. christianity has strict rules about always following the rules and i feel like that wasn't a right fit for me. i didn't want to feel guilty every time i skipped class, every time i told someone to stfu, every time i was supposed to be the "bigger" person because i was christian and suppress my anger. it didn't work out for me.

in a way, being non perfect and forcing myself to be non perfect and do sh--ty things sometimes has helped me to find myself and have more fun with life and be a better person.

and i feel like some of the "bad" things i've done that have given me adrenaline and that passion back, it's not worth going back to a church and praying god to forgive me. sometimes i don't want forgiveness. i believe in god, and i believe that he understands that sometimes you need to see yourself instead of worshipping something else to fix your problems. if it makes you feel connected to the world, great, i'm not against that, but it simply didn't work out for me.

you shouldn't ask forgiveness until you recongize that what you have done is wrong...
after doing smth wrong you can just ask for God's forgiveness but ofc you gotta be sincere
and if you aint then no point in being sorry

you can just do it whenever you can liek at home or at park or smth

for the adrenline part.... i just do full on sports and etc... fc there are other things that gives me adrenline and passion and i know those things are wrong and yet i try to resist the bad things

I've been thinking about childhood honestly, and I definitely did not have the best childhood ever, but now there's no way I can even relive my childhood - it's just GONE. I only have memories left of my childhood, and I can never go back anymore
and to me, it's just scary how time moves on without waiting. the experiences you had - once it's gone, it's GONE. you can't go back and experience it the exact same way again. you can't relive anything

it's just a one-time life, and someday, all of us here will be part of the history

seing people die harms having a flourishing life to what extent? Obviously you suffer when you see people die, and you can't suffer when you're dead. But maybe you can find stuff out!

The Roman philosopher Lucretius said that fear of death primarily comes from not knowing what happens after you die. You get scared that you might go to hell. Lucretius claims that people are naturally scared of things they don't know stuff about, because they tend to assume the worst possible things about them(I forgot how he proved this, there's a philosophical argument for it but it's also a psychological fact). His argument about being scared of death though can pretty much be applied to everything you don't know about though.

Here you see a dichotomy between having the shortest life and not having to see anyone die, or having the longest life and seeing everyone die. What is so dreadful about seeing everyone die? Because you don't know how to live with seeing everyone die. You don't know what it's going to be like, so you're scared of being alone. You don't know being alone. Wanting to have a short life is only an attempt to deny the pain caused by not knowing loneliness, but that pain of ignorance can be turned into knowledge and eudomania(idk how you spell it, it's a greek word) by understanding what it's like to be alone when everyone else is dead.

Lucretius said that Knowledge is the highest pleasure as you know what's going to happen and can control the situation/avoid the consequences, and Ignorance is the worst pain because you don't know what's going to happen/can't control anything. He uses an example of (if I remember correctly) a monk looking down from the mountains trying to obtain knowledge while two kings fight for gold and power with their armies. The armies of the two kings die, but for what reason? After the king wins, he doesn't really understand philosophy or ethics or why he wants gold or what the good life is or what right and wrong is, so he'll just keep on chasing power and gold until he dies without ever really becoming happy. The monk, because he knows about right and wrong and about ethics and is trying to find knowledge doesn't make the mistakes of the king, and is blessed because he never has to fight in any wars or anything.

However, you should note that Lucretius' moral philosophy has been questioned by some, including a guy called David Hume. Hume technically never attacks Lucretius directly but does attack all philosophers who assume that reason/knowing things is the source of ethics and right and wrong. Hume's argument is basically that all information is separated into ideas and impressions. Ideas are weaker than impressions in terms of their vivacity--think of ideas like memories while impressions are sensations, or ideas are logic while impressions are emotions. Anyway, you see that people are just naturally more moved by emotions than by logic which means that impressions are emotions.

Anyway, all ideas you have in your head must have come first because of impressions. This is because every time you think of something, you've seen it before. You can picture an idea of an elephant in your head only because you got the impression of one when you went to the zoo. You can't make new ideas in your head, you can only mix up old ideas and impressions you already had to make another idea. For example a unicorn idea is a horse and a horn added up, if you never saw a horse in your life you could never draw a unicorn.

Because emotions are impressions(you can't 'think' angry or sad, but stuff can make you angry or sad) and logic is an idea(because you get a bunch of impressions and try to get them to make sense) and all ideas come from impressions, then all knowledge comes from emotion. And this is where Hume says that because emotions are the source of all knowledge, if you pursue knowledge to find the good life or right and wrong or ethics you'll basically realize that in order to get knowledge about those things you need find passion/emotions. Hume never wrote about HOW to find passion though, he basically just destroyed a bunch of philosophies but never really made his own ethical system. In this Hume is kinda faulty because despite being really revolutionary he just did the easy thing and criticized everyone while not making an ethical system that other philosophers would criticize.
Another example that Hume writes about is that if knowledge is what makes good and bad and right and wrong, does that mean that smart people are innately more good than stupid people? If that is true then babies must be evil because they aren't smart and dictators have to be more virtuous than you because they are smarter than you, and that's just absurd. What really determines the right life is emotions, not just any knowledge, like just happiness or joy from doing something. The psychopath might be smarter than you and have way more knowledge but you have more emotional knowledge. Although Hume won't help you with this because if you ask him how to get passion and emotion between these two choices he won't tell you ig. Just some stuff to think about on philosophy.

i think nietzsche's philosophies are really interesting and i think i studied "god is dead" for awhile a few months back.

frankly i was really interested in philosophy before finding out that it just makes me feel lost sometimes and makes me depressed too like it's so sad to try to find answers that you will never know will be logical and it doesn't bring peace to me or others like i feel like it's such an isolating thing if you understand that i mean

i have been scared of death for a really long time but i feel like i'm not scared of death itself but i'm instead scared of the process of dying. what will it be like saying goodbye to everyone? what about looking around a room and knowing that these people will go on without your presence? maybe even the pain. i don't know but i know i've been terrified because of those reasons. not necessarily because of what happens after, though that has been a reason too i think.

Philosophy's never about winning. It's never about being there. Imagine there's a mountain, and you're going to climb it. Eventually you realize the mountain's infinitely tall! It goes on and on forever and you're never going to finish climbing the mountain. If you keep on going you'll die climbing the mountain. But you'll climb it anyways, not because you want to win, not because you want to be at the top, but because you've gone far, and everything below you is your trophy. You've gone far and have done the best you could. Here the mountain is the manifestation of meaning and the existence and the whole universe, something which is probrably infinite and everywhere and can never truly be completely understood--just like life, but you strive on anyway, because you've got to make the most of you can.

Mostly, I don't dread the future. It comes, and it becomes past. And the future I won't see? Someone else will, and maybe someday they'll be able to tell me about it themselves.
