i'm being so dead serious right now i failed my test completely i have no idea what's going on

i feel like i understand it and completely get a problem
then the next problem is completely different
conceptualization makes no sense

i thought x=x0+v0t+1/2at^2 in freefall was x=0 but now moving on to unit 2 it's apparently change in x =1/2at^2

it is DECEMBER halfway through school we are on unit 2/8

i have never been so cooked before

khan academy? daily vids?

help

please help i need 5 my family friends are taking this class i need to beat them for my personal satisfaction
actually scratch that i just want to pass i am literally going to fail i got a 14/23 on the unit test and somehow got like 100% on the frq I CANT MCQ our class is so bad that it got curved to a 4.1/4 like i am COOKED

we are f'ing fried

I mean I have a 95 in AP Physics C rn (Had a 97) but we've curves so I'm not as cracked. I recommend reading the teachers notes, doing hw on time (no procrastination), and watching videos for help (I pay attention in class so I don't do this but yeah)

x-x0 is the change in x
x-x0=v0t+1/2at^2
at the start of free fall, v0 = 0
so x-x0=delta x = 1/2at^2

Kinematics is basically math. Think of it mathematical ly and it'll hopefully help. Physics is basically math imo

didnt take ap physics but i aced kinematics so uhhh ill try to help

if you drop something in freefall the v0t + 1/2at^2 would just be 1/2at^2 because v0t = 0*t

idk its kind of hard for me to understand what you were talking about in the post im sorry T_T

it would be easier for me to explain if you showed us one of your problems :sob:

but yeah you are right about the formula, if i read that right and im not slow its just that ur initial velocity is 0 now that ur dropping something from freefall
