i am 167.8cm but tell everyone i am 168cm, and according to my mom, this makes me short
her standards for short people aren’t about whether they’re 6 feet or 8 feet or 3 feet, but rather how they act about their height and how they say it
when they’re 172cm but say they’re 175cm, they are actually quite short.
same goes for someone who’s 190.5 cm but says they’re 191cm

so, as yall can guess, my mom calls me short for rounding up and saying i’m 168cm
she says rounding up technically makes me short and that only short people do that

funny thing is, my mom insists she is taller than me despite her being shorter than me by around 1cm
she tells her friends “oh my daughter is not quite my height ;; i hope she will grow to be taller than me”
but i already am taller than her, she is 166.5cm

i insist that short is about whether you are shorter than 5 feet. 5 feet and shorter, you will probably be considered short
5’1” to 5’4” is average. 5’5” and up is tall, and 5’10” and over is pretty tall for my standards
well it depends for others though you know. a 5 foot tall person might consider me very tall. etc

and then my korean mom says, “nah it aint matter as long as your man’s taller than you!”
