gattaca is about this society where there's something called "genoism" and its where people pick out their baby's traits, and if you have bad genes, you're discriminated against. it's literally so sad in the beginning cuz as soon as the main char's (vincent's) parents find out he has bad genes, his dad changes vincent's name, which was originally going to be anton, so that he's not named after him anymore. vincent basically wants to be an astronaut so he trades identities w someone, and the rest you gotta watch but it's fire

i just wanted to give a summary on that cuz i just watched parts in class and it goes so hard and i feel like its not talked about enough. i love scifi tho.

i generally really enjoy horror games but minecraft will always be on top especially w friends

i heard of this video game called lock your door, and its about how you're trying to keep people out of your house so you have to lock the doors in a special way every night, but one day you have to escape the house but you locked all the doors so you have to crack the code to escape. sounds terrifying, but so clever and i really wanna play w a friend or someone.

tower of hell is also a classic i like to play late at night if i'm ever bored. it's very comforting.

he actually did most of the work if i'm not gonna lie cuz i've always been kind of awkward in general, though i'm the loudest person you know if i know you. i think i'm confident to say that people don't usually know i feel awkward, i just do lol so i think i'm pretty close to being as outgoing as i'll ever be

i think its very important to make yourself known to whoever you like, though. it doesn't even have to be deep convos (though we certainly did that) it can be waving hi whenever you see them in the halls, complimenting them, playing whatever video game they're playing, what not. calling is also a super fun way to get to know em, so if you ever get partnered w them it may also be great to ask them to call and chat, cuz you're bound to not talk about your project 24/7 yk? if you do that's kinda sad.

my team lowkey dipped in the last couple weeks but i think at our best we were ranked #23 in our league (out of like almost 100 teams) which is fire

there was one where we placed 10th out of the whole power league, which is also pretty fire

then comes the weekend where we win nothing, not even a single set, after being placed smack dab in the middle of a 16's bracket oopsies

my personal stats i don't rly look at much, but i'd say on a good day i can pass a lil over a 2
i'm a libero btw which i lowkey love except the different coloured jerseys because i get to play all sets except half a rotation which goes so hard
except that if you make mistakes you stand out 3 times more

to get better, though i can't rly talk much cuz i don't think i'm outstanding either, but definitely work on becoming a good passer because that's like hands down the most important skill you can have

any coach will take a good passer

work on having a good jump serve and be a good spot server. one thing to impress a coach so much is to ace someone and then to ace the same person again.

make sure you have proper form when you dive, but if you dive unnecessarily thats such a minus. don't dive to impress

work out and build your stamina because getting gassed isn't cool

HUSTLE after every ball because it's iconic

don't drop a ball and it's better to run over someone than to have miscommunication and let the ball drop

if you're a lib, COVER YOUR HITTERS

if you're a blocker, call your touches

if you're a outside, if you're able to, call a shoot because if you can pull it off you'll blow minds away

if you're a setter, set back row and back set and be good at setting quicks. jump setting is definitely a plus

if you're an opposite, cover your hitters. you guys don't do much to stand out usually cuz of the small number of sets, but cover!!!

defensive specialists LIE AND SAY YOU'RE A LIBERO. why be a ds when you can be a lib? it shows that you were 2nd best on the team.
