Money Rant

I feel like ranting a bit, if you don't like rants you can simply ignore this post.
Alright. Here I go.
It makes me really mad when people think money is everything, especially with animals like my hamster. I admit my mom and dad aren't the biggest animal fans and they never really paid much attention to my hamster but I still think they should AT LEAST let her live happily and healthily.
First, I did all my research and decided on rwo seed mixes, and my dad says that it's a "waste" to buy two so big and instead bought one big. He said that he compared the ingredients and that they were basically the same, but I could CLEARLY see that the one he bought only had 13.5% of its contents protein, while hamsters need at least 15-19% protein. So did he really do his research? Not the basics!
Now the health situation. We bought some sand that ended up being super bad for Noozie, and now she's coughing and wheezing a bit. I told my parents SO many times that hamsters' lungs are delicate and that we should take Noozie to the vet. But every single time that I try to tell them expert advice, they look and me and they're like, "Do you know how much a vet costs, especially during pandemic?" So what's more important? My beloved hamster's health, or MONEY?!?! Are we even homeless people out in the streets begging for a single morsel of food? NO!
I understand that my parents never liked my hamster and think that some things are a waste of money, but when they neglect her and refuse to buy things that she really needs it makes me so mad. All I can do right now is pray for her to get better on her own and just take in all of their words when they refuse to do anything. Money is never, ever more important that someone's life and I believe that they should start treating Noozie just like our own family member, like I do. The least they can do is love her.
Sorry for ranting on y'all.
