the hardest part of tryouts

i had high school volleyball tryouts which was 21 hours
(7 hrs a day, minus around 1 for lunch)
plus one hour of conditioning they made us do to see if we were in good shape
which i wasnt
like what the hell i just got back from korea and ate 50000 calories a day how do they expect me to run 15 laps in a minute
anyways lol
to cut to the chase thankfully i made it
and the coach even said that i had such good hitting compared to my other libero/ds peers that she wanted me to hit for her team
and i was like ooookay : )
honestly the hardest part of tryouts is getting noticed
there was a girl at tryouts who was already friends with one of the coaches.
there were people that were super tall ;; one girl was 6’1” and the same grade ad me, which is painful especially because she was on the same court as me for tryout stuff
others had been playing club for 5 years, since u11 or u12, compared to my late start at u14
even though i wore a blue shirt, green shirt, then white shirt, which stands out compared to everyones black, dang i had a hard time standing out
lowkey was surprised i made a team ;; i got pretty lucky i’d say, but not all tryouts went my favor this year
im just glad school tryouts wasnt one of the ones i completely flopped
cuz thats happened before and its not pretty
ps on the roster they rounded my height from 5’6.5” to 5’7” so im 5’7” now guys
