It occurred to me that the blog where I found a link to the article I mentioned in the last post might be of interest to a lot of AoPSers. Sandor pointed this out to me a couple months back, and it's now a site I visit regularly: Marginal Revolution. The subtitle of the blog is 'Smaller steps toward a much better world.' I think that's basically right. As much as 'big revolutions' are 'sexy', it's the marginal revolutions that do nearly all the heavy lifting. In fact, most paradigm shifts are really the result of many marginal steps in the right direction. And that's a good thing - big steps don't self-correct well when they're in the wrong direction. But a series of little steps can.
