Bailouts and Healthcare

Why unions are fighting health care reform. Strikes me as pretty plausible: right now, a large part of the "service" unions provide their members is to lobby their employers on health care issues. Nationalized health care, or de-linking health care from employment, significantly reduces many unions' reason for existence. Seems plausible to me.
And I must give credit where due. My old MOP teacher, Gregg Patruno, told me that Fannie and Freddie would cause the biggest financial wipeout of our lifetimes eventually. He gets props for telling me this in . . . 1995.
