Interviews?

by rrusczyk, Oct 16, 2008, 5:38 PM

In the next couple months, we hope to add a little AoPS media section of the site, on which we'll have a company blog, etc. One thing I'm thinking of adding to it is over time doing a series of video interviews (that we could also release as audio podcasts) with various people. Is this at all of interest? Are there any particular types of people you'd want me to interview? Successful students? Past USAMO types who are now in successful careers? Top teachers? People who are involved with developing AMC/ARML/MATHCOUNTS/etc? Parents?

Yeah you guys once mentioned roughly what happened to these MOP alumni from the early 80s. Maybe interview a few from different sectors in industry, and various fields in university (as I understood not all are professors in math).

I think it would be a great idea and could help in cross promoting AOPS to relate communities. All of those categories of interviews would be of interest. EconTalk is a good example (IMO) of an online interview format: http://www.econtalk.org/
