One last success of the old independent study program

solafidefarms started a project as part of the Independent Study program over a year ago. He has done a lot more (a lot, lot more) with it since, and recently took it to ISEF. A ![$\$[/dollar]15,000$](//latex.artofproblemsolving.com/e/4/3/e43042ce0d9b86bafebc0df6bf754735baf0fa69.png)
scholarship, a couple other prizes, and having an asteroid named after him later, he came home.
Nice work.
(To be honest, we at AoPS can't take a whole lot of credit for this one - he came up with the whole thing on his own, and I think our most notable recommendation upon seeing it might have been, `It's time you to learn LaTeX'. But nonetheless, we're very happy to see his success.)
