Making progress

Finished the first draft of the Intro Algebra solutions this morning (around 320 pages, gack). All I have left are solutions, extras, and lots of editing. ETA is end of February, possibly earlier if I don't get too distracted in the next 6 weeks.

Heading up to the LA Math Circle and Valley Math Circle this weekend. . . I'm curious to see how they're developing.

is the book worth getting if I already have a lot of algebra experience but no rigorous class? with 675 pages, sounds like it might be... :D

From what I've seen of your work in the geometry class, you might well be fine just waiting for the intermediate book, which should be out next summer. One way to tell might be the AMC 10. If you can handle all the AMC 10 algebra problems with ease, you're ready for the Intermediate books. Now, if you have a younger sibling or friend who gets it, you could borrow it for a few weeks and just work the hard chapters and the challenge problems.
