Chapter MATHCOUNTS

It was a good day for the SDMC at the Chapter MATHCOUNTS. For the past 3 years I have gone to the Chapter contest to volunteer and advertise the SDMC. Each time, I stood in front and asked how many students come to the Math Circle. Each time, there was a small smattering of hands raised. This time, there were a few dozen, and nearly all of the top 16 students (including uclabb and all of his teammates). Very satisfying 
. We even had some of the top students and teams at the nearby Orange County Chapter, as zmli coached his team (including jli and apusey, who were in the top 4 individually) to state.
We'll be at both Southern and Northern California state MATHCOUNTS contests, so if you're there, stop by and see us - we'll have a table at both sites.
