Book Reviews: Lush Life & Too Big To Fail

Lush Life by Richard Price. I was looking for a quick light read for one of my cross-country flights. This fit that bill, but not much else. I picked this up because I remembered liking Price's Clockers many years ago. Lush Life wasn't nearly as well-written, or the main characters as carefully drawn.
Too Big To Fail by Andrew Ross Sorkin. This book recounts the actions of the leading officers of the major financial companies, and those of the main government officials, during the financial meltdown in 2008. My main complaint about he book is that it ends too soon (with the forced capital infusion of the banks by the government), despite being a plenty-long book to begin with. This isn't the book to read to learn anything about why the meltdown happened, but rather to get a blow-by-blow description of how key players handled the fallout.
