Another Local Program

As part of my talk to parents at National MATHCOUNTS, I encouraged them to organize, agitate, and contribute. I've given a similar talk in other places, and seen some parents build some outstanding programs after seeing what we do at the SDMC and AoPS. Many are in Southern California: the Valley Math Circle, Avid Academy, the LA Math Circle. I never know if people in the crowd will take the message to heart.
At Nationals, someone took the message to heart, and she wasn't even in the room. Her parents were there, but she was in a different room at the time, taking a math test. And next year, she'll launch the Seattle Infinity Math Circle. (The site is just in its infancy - check back in a couple months to get more information.)
I encourage all the many outstanding Seattle students we have on the site to get involved, as students or as instructors for younger students.
