Giving a Talk in Cupertino

by rrusczyk, Dec 2, 2008, 4:54 PM

For all of you in the Bay Area, I'll be giving a talk about the importance of problem solving and how to develop problem solving skills. The talk is at the Cupertino Middle School Gym this Thursday, Dec 4, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM.

Of all the places in the Bay Area to give a lecture on the importance of mathematical problem-solving, I think the Cupertino school district is the one that needs it the least... I'm sure you will be very warmly received, anyway.

A very funny, yet very apt comment. I guess there's selection bias at work here. Any community that would think to fly me in to give a talk is very likely to be a community that already understands the value of problem solving!

I live in San Carlos/Redwood City...
I can see why Cupertino wanted you to come out :)

Are you still in the area? You could come down to Menlo School and talk to our math club :P

Mrs. Rachel Chou would be there...she says she knows you :P

Funny, the teacher that leads my school's math club also once claimed to know you (I think). Anyway, it didn't seem like most of the people who came needed to hear it; after, people came up to get their AoPS books autographed.
