Which Party Manages the Economy Better?

There's always a lot of argument about that. Here are some pictures that tell a pretty clear story to me. The story: I miss Clinton and Gingrich. To be fair, they had a pretty easy run of it compared to Reagan, W, and Obama. Reagan and Obama started in huge holes, and W had W. Nonetheless, while I wouldn't want my sister to marry either of them, I sure would like to see Clinton and Gingrich driving again rather than Obama and Pelosi or W and Hastert. (And the past 9 years have done little to tame my enthusiasm for "Democrat President -- Republican Congress" in general.)
(To be fair, analysis on such simple factors is wildly oversimplified, but it's a lot better than the analysis that I believe most people use to cast their votes.)
